Role Summary / Purpose

Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer will work within multiple projects at Warsaw Institute of Aviation programming and starting-up of control & instrumentation systems for process facilities and technology testing laboratories.


  • Various types of industrial and laboratory specialized controllers programming;
  • Control Systems Design: P&ID diagrams, I/O lists, control narrative/logic, FMEA analysis, safety algorithms, automatic regulation loops, etc.;
  • Controllers architecture design and procurement support;
  • Installation works supervision;
  • High involvement in system start-up and commissioning;
  • Control and electrical cabinets operation;
  • Keeping all instrumentation, actuators and control equipment in good technical condition including proper handling, installation, service and periodic calibration;
  • Participating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews;
  • Supervising tasks execution for other team members.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree in Automation, Programming, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Professional experience;
  • Experience in developing of PAC and/or SCADA based control systems (knowledge of National Instruments LabView, Allen Bradley and/or PILZ platforms);
  • Knowledge of control algorithms for discrete and continuous processes;
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS DP);
  • Basic knowledge of instrumentation (temperature, pressure, force, vibration, displacement, level, flow, etc.) and actuators (electrical motors, pumps, heaters, hydraulic and pneumatic valves);
  • Experience in instrumentation and actuators start-up would be beneficial;
  • Control and electrical cabinets operation knowledge would be beneficial;
  • Good problem solving skills and time management;
  • Team work capability;
  • Good stress situations handling, peace and self-control keeping;
