Role Summary / Purpose

Tech Lead for the ELMS3 Secondary Panels will be responsible for product delivery that satisfies customer

requirements in terms of mechanical performance, weight, cost and schedule. To achieve that, Tech Lead will oversee plans preparations and execution by coordination of the following functions: structural stress, mechanical design, heat transfer performance, manufacturing, sourcing, ME and M&P and all others that may affect design, tests and manufacturing processes.

On a daily basis Tech Lead will be responsible for a mechanical portion of the project budget, EVM support, project schedule, Tech Reviews coordination.


  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering

principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program


  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies

and procedures

  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering position in mechanical design
  • Demonstrated experience on engineering leadership position
  • Demonstrated high written and verbal communication skills, good English (reading, speaking and writing)
  • Demonstrated team work
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Ability to work under time pressure and with budget/ resources constraints
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CAD software, GD&T standards
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and typical aerospace materials would be an advantage)
  • Target oriented, responsible, demonstrated strong problem solving skills, passion to learn, open mind, strong motivation
  • Ability and availability to frequent travels to UK
  • Ability to work with global team members across cultural boundaries
