Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Role Summary / Purpose

The Helpdesk Junior Specialist provides technical support to users of IT systems and peripheral equipment. Everyday responsibilities include managing all IT incidents involving hardware, software, applications, networking or products on the IT standards list.


  • Serve as basic service delivery provider
  • Provide technical assistance in resolving simple computing infrastructure challenges
  • Work within the framework of established operating procedures
  • Work in close cooperation with internal support personnel
  • Produce documentation and provide appropriate communications for assigned responsibilities

Qualifications / Requirements

  • University student or graduate
  • Knowledge of popular IT technologies – Windows, Office, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic IT hardware configuration
  • Good communication skills


  • Experience in administration of Windows and/or Linux systems
  • Experience in working in ITIL managed environment
