Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Role Summary / Purpose

The Operations Specialist will lead operational activities within EDC organization. In this role, will take key role in support process owners to improve existing processes, develop new processes and implement them. In this role, the key focus areas will be engineering efficiency, costs, operational process improvements and contribution to the overall business strategy for the EDC.

Responsibilities

  • Review, improve, integrate and develop processes that meet businesses needs across the EDC organization, e.g. financial processes or assets management,
  • Close cooperation with supporting functions leaders, Black Belt and EDC Site Operation Leader,
  • Monitoring and reporting status of statutory projects realized within EDC Team,
  • Reporting on regular basis or on demand operational metrics, e.g. Vouchering on Time and Voucher Approve on time,
  • Support in the preparation of analyzes that enable the execution of business and operational plans of the company,
  • Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices,
  • Effective interaction with internal and external clients,
  • Conducting training for employees – internal procedures and system functionality.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science,
  • Strong experience in leadership role,
  • Previous experience on similar position,
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering and business processes,
  • Ability to develop strategies and execute plans with a sense of urgency, successful track record of results,
  • Ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship,
  • Strong engineering and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong project management and analytical skills,
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers,
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills in English.
