Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between GE Aircraft Engines and the Institute of Aviation. Role Summary / Purpose

EEDP is an intensive program for people who have a passion for technology, a drive for technical excellence, and share in GE’s core values. The program is designed to accelerate participants’ professional development through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to proactively and continually make innovative contributions to GE’s future.

EEDP is a two-year entry-level engineering program consisting of three or more rotational assignments. Rotational assignments are engineering projects driven by real GE business priorities. These assignments may include experience in: systems, analysis, design, quality, reliability, integration, testing and big data analysis. The program cultivates technical problem-solving skills via advanced engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership, in addition to valuable work experience.

Responsibilities

  • 24 month program of three or four rotational assignments
  • Assignments are technical projects driven by GE business priorities with defined goals and

regular reviews with Senior Technical Leaders

  • Diverse experience may encompass: analysis, design, quality, reliability, integration and testing, analytics and others
  • Technical problem-solving skills developed via advance engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership
  • Business skills developed in corporate leadership courses
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • Passion for and commitment to engineering and technology
    • Master’s Degree in Engineering (e.g. Majors in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Mechatronics etc.) with Academic Excellence
    • Commitment to quality
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skill
    • Fluent English
    • Work location is Warsaw, Poland
    • Starting date is July 2017;

    • International Experience could be a plus
    • Relevant internship/co-op experience preferred
