Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Performe security research to identify threat vectors and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Use tools and security assessment techniques to identify vulnerabilities in the product, platform, and scoped environment
  • Provide recommendations on vulnerability remediation.
  • Testing of a network, computer systems, applications, or other digital environment to identify vulnerabilities and/or configuration issues that could be used and exploited by attackers.
  • Design cyber-secure wireless systems for on premise and remote communication
  • Support development of software applications for control systems
  • Support customer (internal and external) with a firm technical knowledge
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • BSc/MSc in IT or equivalent experience.
    • Strong experience in Information Security and IT Security
    • Good technical knowledge related to IT/Cyber Security field
    • Up to date knowledge of new cyber threats and industry trends
    • Experience in security projects delivery
    • Experience in governance and implementing security controls, e.g. in different environments (on premise, virtualized, digital services), on different levels (process, technical)Knowledge and understanding of process and technical solutions as well as security components on application, host and network level to prevent, detect and response to cyber threats
    • Knowledge of data communication and integration techniques to exchange information by multiple devices on a common Ethernet and wireless communication network
    • Experience and familiarity with Gas Turbines or other of industrial controls applications is a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to meet agreed-upon goals and measures
    • Solid written, verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Proven team player
    • English written & verbal skills essential
