EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Role Summary / Purpose

This is posting for Lead Engineer Exhaust and Air Handling System. In this role you will have ownership of respective subsystem including (and not limited to): development, manufacturing and field support, root cause analysis and field validation. You will cooperate with broader global team, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop air handling and exhaust systems with specific focus on waste gate and exhaust assemblies from concept design to product introduction
  • Closely collaborate with performance, control and design engineering to consider all product requirements.
  • Prepare DFMEA´s at the systems and sub-system level leading to the preparation of design validation plans (DVP) and test specifications.
  • Drive technical investigation and resolution within RCA´s and other quality processes by providing technical knowledge at the component and system level.
  • Lead communications with both manufacturing, sourcing as well as external suppliers.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, whilst providing guidance to engineers within same discipline.
  • Apply basic analysis tools to steer design direction.
  • Work hands-on on test benches and field sites during validation and failure analysis.
  • Prepare written technical reports and present system level results and project progress within project design reviews, NPI meetings and other forums within technology.
  • Lead the preparation of component and system level standard design practices

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelors/masters degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or similar specialization.
  • A broad working knowledge of modern design/simulation and data analysis techniques.
  • Extensive experience regarding system and component tests and development techniques.
  • You are comfortable working in an international environment and have convincing oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites, suppliers or other R&D offices.
  • Understanding of functions and key design features in Genset

  • Detailed knowledge regarding the development of reciprocating engines,
  • Detailed knowledge regarding hot gas path or air handling systems in gensets
