Employer Description

Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials for the website – articles, interviews and news with pictures
  • Prepare and help editing of weekly newsletter for employees
  • Produce and distribute press releases about new events, EDC investments and other EDC projects and initiatives inside and outside of EDC
  • Proofread and maintain communication content of all promotional materials: leaflets, posters and internet advertisements
  • Help in movie and spots making
  • Organization of internal and external events
  • Prepare materials for internal TV
  • Seek and manage feedback and impact through a range of channels
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts with our employees to increase the quality of Communications Team’s activities
  • Work with other parts of the organization on their communication plans and strategies, and with EDC initiatives such as GE Volunteers, HealthAhead, GE Women’s Network, ECPO etc.
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level at least)
    • Language enthusiast with strong attention to writing details, both in Polish and English
    • Interest in communication, marketing and PR matters – advertisement knowledge (especially copywriting skills)
    • Engagement, initiative, creative approach to work – a head full of new ideas
    • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
    • The ability to communicate, support and influence effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization is essential
    • Very good planning and coordinating skills
    • Computer literacy, including good knowledge of MS Office
    • Excellent presentation making skills – PowerPoint: sense of composition, color knowledge
    • Propriety
    • Interest in photography would be an additional asset
