Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Role Summary / Purpose

This is a great opportunity to join the Aviation LEAP organization for a 6-month internship. The role is aimed at development and update of product definition (3D models, drawings, documentation, etc.). Involvement in various projects related to the most modern engine gives opportunity to gain knowledge of entire engine components, how they are defined produced and controlled.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of new definition for parts (3D models, drawings, MBD)
  • Update existing definition according Aviation standards
  • Calculation of Stack-up analysis
  • Updates of Digital Engine models
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • Final year / Master course in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    • NX/Unigraphics or similar 3D CAD tool
    • GD&T understanding (ASME Y14.5 would be beneficial)
    • Interpersonal skills in a team-oriented and customer-centric global environment
    • Selfmotivated in a dynamic engineering environment within global engineering communities
    • Effective oral and written communications skills in English
    • Ambitious and persistent to meet objectives and deadlines
