Engineering Design Center (EDC) was created under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation. Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Safety-Critical software verification platform, that will be used for testing Avionics systems for modern airplanes
  • Collaborate with Project Owner, Development Team and Stakeholders
  • Evaluate and analyze new technologies and software for feasibility, impact, and viability
  • Participate as a member of a scrum team
  • Deliver features as provided by the product backlog
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • B.Sc/M.Sc in Software Engineering
    • Significant experience in software development
    • Proficiency in Python programming language (at least one of the following : C++, C# will be additional advantage)
    • Mastery of OOP concepts and programming
    • Strongly focused on design patterns usage
    • Distributed systems design understanding
    • Good knowledge of English
    • Desired

      • Safety Critical software requirements understanding (e.g. DO-178B(C))
      • Strong knowledge of network technologies
