Engineering Design Center was created in the year 2000 under an agreement between General Electric and the Institute of Aviation and gathering passionate people in different areas of expertise like engineering, software and analytics.

EDC Avionics group consists mostly of the software, systems and hardware engineers, who are keen to develop embedded systems for the very demanding aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review of the code
  • Work on software requirements design, review and verification
  • Taking part in creation of technical and certification documentation
  • Participating in the safety critical projects through their whole lifecycle
  • Abiding industry (DO178C), quality (AS9100) and internal company’s standards
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    • Degree in Engineering
    • Embedded Software development experience
    • Understanding and experience of software design lifecycle (waterfall, agile)
    • Experience of C, C++, Assembler, Ada
    • Good knowledge of English and Polish
    • Patience, attention to details and aptitude for closing the tasks with highest quality
    • Desired

      • Experience in Matlab / Simulink or other MBD technology
      • Experience of RTCA DO-178B / EUROCAE ED-12B or similar rigorous development standard
      • Experience with RTOS
      • Experience in using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, generators, etc.)
      • Knowledge of different microcontrollers architectures (ARM, PowerPC, Coldfire, PIC, AVR, DSP)
      • Passion to Aviation
