Our engineers work in following areas: aircraft jet engines, gas and steam turbines, electric motors and generators, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, as well as industrial installations including pipelines, and automatics. EDC employs over 1800 engineers and is the largest engineering center in the Central Europe.

Role Summary / Purpose

The Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics Laboratory has an open position for a Quality and Process Specialist.
Hired person will be responsible for supervision over the laboratory equipment, internal laboratory processes, quality management and assistance with the ISO9001/ISO17025 implementation. The selected candidate will also be responsible for contacts with test rig component manufacturers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Support of implementation and supervision over Quality Management and Processes required in the HTFML
  • Support of the ISO9001 and ISO17025 implementation
  • Supervision over the laboratory measurement equipment (calibration, documentation and related tasks)
  • Supervision over the tools and machines (repair, yearly inspections, documentation and related tasks)
  • Supervision over the chemical substances (in terms of processes and documentation)
  • Supervision of EHS (in terms of processes, requirements and documentation)
  • Contacts with suppliers and financial reporting

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Good English communication skills are required
  • BSc/MSc – preferable in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Familiarity with Quality, Process Management and Financial Reporting is an advantage
